The reality is that when everyone in the supply chain is treated fairly, and paid more, the cost of producing clothes increases. Yet one of things that often isn’t clear is where all the money spent on an item of clothing goes. Some might even question whether a fair trade label is simply being used for marketing purposes.
Many brands and designers represent on this site therefore illustrate the breakdown of the garments' prices. You may or may not agree with the breakdown, and constructive feedback is welcome on how we can adjust business models to be fairer for all involved.
